Serenata.ai is an open-source project from Brazil that leverages data science to monitor public spending, specifically focusing on expenses reimbursed by Brazilian federal deputies and senators through the Quota for the Exercise of Parliamentary Activity (CEAP). Its AI tool, Rosie, analyzes these expenses, identifying suspicious transactions and encouraging public scrutiny. The project also includes Jarbas, a platform that allows users to easily explore and validate these expenses, with plans to expand its scope to municipal-level spending through the Querido Diário initiative, enhancing transparency across Brazil.
